THE COMPANY YOU KEEP

Once again, our President finds himself firing and distancing himself from
one of his cohorts; of course, we will be told that the president again will not be responsible because he was not privy to whatever it is that caused the current controversy. How many times are we going to let this man off the hook when others in a similar position would have been castigated by the media? All of us who grew up with any semblance of an authority figure knows the old adage that one can gauge ones character by the friends one keeps-I will not list the other questionable people President Obama has been associated with because, apparently, it does not matter-like a duct, the filth will slide off his back. President Obama’s environmental Czar, believed, among other conspiracies, that President George Bush was culpable in the terrorist attacks, which occurred on 911. I supposed that the FBI’s vetting process is not what it used to be and that our secular messianic president is woefully unaware of the beliefs of many of his radical friends. My friends, and the other member of Verily Prime, always teased me about my being a Luddite--but if I can be privy to the writings of many of President Obama’s many Czars--where is our Peabody worthy newscasters--do not answer that, the query was rhetorical. I am reminded that a couple of years ago, unbeknownst to Vice President Dick Cheney, he had chosen to sate his appetite at a restaurant, which apparently had a miniature Confederate flag painting on its wall--Cheney had to apologize for inadvertently eating at the restaurant. There are those of you, who support the current President, who genuinely believe that his critics are quixotic--no matter, we will keep fighting the wind mills until the scales are off your eyes.

  1. Verily, I say unto thee (pun intended)

This whole rant should be determined rhetorical, but I feel moved to respond. If you could peel back YOUR scales temporarily and indulge me (while you actually THINK logically for awhile). I know its hard, but try please?

Supporting the President does not meen that you agree with everything he is doing. This statement is not logical and an affront to intelligent people. An analogy I will present for your consideration is that a parent may support their child but does not disown them as they make errors at decisions on which they embark. We don't walk out of our jobs when we don't agree with out supervisors. We give our friends advise when we see they're on th wrong track. And Lord knows we forgive our pastors and reverends when they "temporarily fall victim" to the world's temptations.

I am not sure if you realize that the President does not run the country. If you need a primer click here www.youtube.com/watch?v=mEJL2Uuv-oQ

(Even you will agree) Cheney is a non-apologetic sort. "Had to apologize" Really? He's still not apologetic for his involvement of destroying the families of those who fight for us. I am not talking about just the ones who have died, but those who leave their families behind and have to readjust to what has become a foreign household when they return. That story is not being told. The lies continue in this administration because we still can't show our dead arriving home. Obama continues many of the lies begun by the Bush administration. So No, I don't agree with my President on all fronts. I just happen to find more to agree with him on that I did the previous President.

The press drives a lot of the angst on either side. I find it to be laughable hyperbole most days. Oh that's right! Politics IS laughable hyperbole. I think the focus needs to shift from the President and move to the folks who are actually writing the bills. The ones we voted into office on a local level.

Finally, in response to Presidents distancing self from cohorts. I am absolutely sure that anyone associated with a president and has a "smell" to them automatically knows that they have to say ciao to their seat. No work gets done. Everyone's to busy smearing. The President doesn't have to ask. Bush and every President before him had the same thing happen...we'll see it more and more in the future in this age of digital technology. Your words and images are captured for life. (Like this is). Guess I won't be running for office any time soon.
